Bosch Kiox (BES2): change the display language

Bosch Kiox (BES2)

The classic Kiox (BUI330) has its own language setting under Settings > My Kiox. Two minutes, no dealer or app.

Step by step

  1. Switch the Kiox on with the power button on top of the display.
  2. On the status screen (press < on the control unit until you reach it), press the select button (centre of the control unit) to open 'Settings'.
  3. Use + / − to move to 'My Kiox' and confirm with the select button.
  4. Move to 'Language', confirm, pick English (or your language) with + / − and confirm.
  5. Press < repeatedly to go back to the ride screens. The whole menu is now in the chosen language.
Tip: The structure is the same in every language: Settings is the last item, My Kiox is the second entry, Language the first inside it. Count instead of reading.

Can't find it?

If you see 'Settings' but no 'My Kiox', you are on early Kiox firmware; connect the Kiox to eBike Connect over Bluetooth and install the display update, or visit a dealer. On the Kiox 300/500 (Smart System) the menu is similar but the display also follows the eBike Flow app.

Frequently asked

Which languages does the Kiox BUI330 have?

German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish and several more depending on firmware.

Is the eBike Connect app language separate?

Yes. The app follows your phone's language; the display language is set on the Kiox.

Kiox 300 or Kiox BUI330, how do I tell?

The BUI330 has a power button on top and a separate control unit with a small joystick-style select button; the 300/500 sits on a slim rail mount and uses the Mini Remote.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
