Bosch Kiox (BES2): switch from mph to km/h (or km/h to mph)

Bosch Kiox (BES2)

Units are under Settings > My Kiox on the display. One minute, no dealer or app.

Step by step

  1. Switch the Kiox on.
  2. On the status screen (press < on the control unit until you reach it), press the select button (centre of the control unit) to open 'Settings'.
  3. Go to 'My Kiox' and confirm with select.
  4. Move to 'Units', confirm, choose 'Metric' (km/h, km) or 'Imperial' (mph, mi) and confirm.
  5. Press < to return to the ride screens. Speed, trip, total and range follow immediately.
Tip: The setting is stored in the display, not the app; if you swap displays between bikes, check it again.

Can't find it?

If 'Units' is missing, update the Kiox via eBike Connect (Bluetooth) or ask a dealer. Units have no effect on the assistance cut-off; that is set in the drive unit.

Frequently asked

Does 'Imperial' change the 25 km/h cut-off?

No, it only changes what is displayed.

Why did my Kiox switch to mph after an update?

Updates can restore defaults. Set Metric again under My Kiox > Units.

Does eBike Connect also show miles now?

The app has its own unit setting under your profile; change it there too if needed.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
