Language on an S866 / S830 / S861 display (there is none to change)
The S866 family shows numbers, icons and a few fixed English abbreviations. There is no language setting on any firmware we have seen.
Step by step
- Enter the settings (hold + and −, password 1919) and scroll P01 to P20: no language item exists.
- What looks like text (TRIP, ODO, PAS, MPH) is fixed.
- Use P02 for km/h if that was the actual goal.
- Exit with + and − held together.
Tip: Brand apps (Fiido, Engwe, Himiway) that pair with the bike over Bluetooth do have language settings; those change the app, not the display.
Can't find it?
Chinese characters on the screen: a grey-import S830 colour variant. Hold + and −, enter 1919, the first sub-menu's last item toggles 中文/English on that firmware.
Frequently asked
German or Dutch available?
No.
Is P20 a language?
No, P20 is the communication protocol (0/1/2) between display and controller. Changing it makes the display show error 30 or nothing at all; leave it.
Error text in English?
Codes are numeric (E004, E007…); look them up here.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
