How to set the wheel size on the Aventon colour display

Aventon colour display (Level, Pace, Aventure, Soltera) + Aventon app

Wheel size is in Bike Settings and is used for speed, distance and the cut-off. Use Aventon's per-model value.

Step by step

  1. With the display on and the bike stationary, press and hold the '+' and '-' buttons together for about 2 seconds to open Settings.
  2. Select 'Bike Setting' > 'Wheel Diameter' (may ask for a password; use 8888 or 0512).
  3. Set: Level / Level.2 / Pace 500 27.5; Pace 350 27.5; Aventure / Aventure.2 26 (fat tyre); Soltera 700c (set 28); Abound 20; Sinch 20.
  4. Confirm with power/mode and exit.
  5. Ride 1 km against a phone GPS; if speed is more than 3% off, move one size.
  6. Newer firmware (2023+) locks wheel size per model; the entry shows but cannot be changed.
Tip: Fat-tyre Aventure: leave 26 even though a 4-inch tyre measures more; the controller is calibrated to it.

Can't find it?

If the password is refused, the display is the locked 2023+ version; a dealer can change it through the Aventon service app.

Frequently asked

Speed is wrong after new tyres.

Rolling circumference changed; adjust one size if allowed, otherwise accept a percent or two of error.

Does a smaller wheel setting make the bike faster?

It raises the real cut-off, which is illegal and voids the warranty. Aventon's app also detects mismatches.

Is wheel size in the app?

No, only on the display.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
