How to connect the Aventon app to your bike and fix pairing problems
The Aventon app (2021+ models with the colour display) connects over Bluetooth by scanning the QR code on the display or frame. Pairing issues are usually permissions or a bike already bound to another account.
Step by step
- Install the Aventon app, create an account, and allow Bluetooth (iOS) plus Location (Android).
- Turn the display on. Tap '+' / 'Add bike' in the app.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the display or under the top tube. If the code is worn, choose 'Enter manually' and type the serial from the sticker.
- The app shows 'Connecting'; within 15 seconds the bike screen appears with battery and odometer.
- If it fails: close the app, toggle Bluetooth, and try again with the phone next to the display. Do not pair in the phone's Bluetooth settings.
- 'Bike already bound': the previous owner must remove it in their app (Settings > 'Unbind bike'). If unreachable, contact Aventon support with the serial and proof of purchase.
Tip: The Aventon app is optional; the bike rides fully without it. You need it for class 3, throttle toggle, custom assist and firmware.
Can't find it?
No QR code: it is on the underside of the display housing or on the bike's registration card. Serial numbers are also on the head tube.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
