How to reset trip distance on the Aventon colour display and app
TRIP, average and max speed are reset from the display menu. ODO is permanent. The app keeps ride history separately.
Step by step
- With the display on and the bike stationary, press and hold the '+' and '-' buttons together for about 2 seconds to open Settings.
- Select 'Display Setting' > 'Clear Trip' (some firmware: 'Reset Trip').
- Confirm with the power/mode button; TRIP, AVG and MAX go to zero.
- Exit to the ride screen.
- Original Pace 350 / Level (monochrome display): from the ride screen hold the power button and '-' together for 2 seconds.
- Aventon app: rides are logged under 'Rides'; swipe to delete one. The odometer in the app cannot be reset.
Tip: TRIP also resets automatically after the display has been off for 24 hours or more on some firmware; check before relying on a multi-day figure.
Can't find it?
If the menu has no 'Clear Trip', use the older button combination (power + '-') from the ride screen.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
