Pair a Giant SyncDrive e-bike (RideControl One, Evo, Dash, Ergo) with the Giant RideControl app

Giant RideControl (One, Evo, Dash, Ergo) / Giant RideControl app

RideControl One, Dash and newer Evo have Bluetooth; older Evo (2017-2018) does not. The bike advertises only while switched on and only to one phone at a time.

Step by step

  1. Install the Giant RideControl app and create an account.
  2. Switch the bike on. On RideControl Dash open settings > Bluetooth > pairing mode; on One/Evo/Ergo the bike advertises automatically after power-on.
  3. In the app tap [Add bike] and select the bike from the list (name starts with the model or 'RideControl').
  4. Confirm the pairing code. Dash shows it on screen; One/Evo bikes use the code on the card in the bike's document wallet, or the app accepts a button press on the remote.
  5. Wait for the app to show battery, ODO and assist mode.
  6. Pair in the app only, never in the phone's Bluetooth settings.
Tip: Pairing code card lost after a second-hand purchase: a Giant dealer can read the code with the service tool.

Can't find it?

Bike not in the list: another phone still connected (family member), bike switched off, or (Android) location permission missing. Power-cycle the bike and retry.

Frequently asked

Which Evo versions have Bluetooth?

Evo from model year 2019 onward. Earlier Evo needs a dealer for settings.

Is there a code for RideControl One?

Yes, on the card supplied with the bike, or shown in the app after pressing the remote.

The app connected once, then never again.

Forget the bike in the phone's Bluetooth list if it appears there; reconnect only via the app.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
