Switch lights on and off on a Giant SyncDrive e-bike with RideControl
RideControl Evo and Dash have a light button; RideControl One toggles lights with a long press on the + button (varies by year); the app can also switch them.
Step by step
- Switch on.
- RideControl Evo: press the light button (headlight symbol) once. Dash: light button or menu > [Light].
- RideControl One: hold + for about two seconds; the light LED on the unit shows the state. If that changes assist instead, use the app.
- Open the Giant RideControl app on the phone, switch the bike on and connect (see the pairing guide). Toggle lights on the bike page.
- Automatic lights: Dash menu or app > [Light] > AUTO on models with a sensor.
Tip: Many Giant city bikes have permanent lights (legal requirement in some markets); that is by design.
Can't find it?
Light icon on, lamp dark: check the connector at the headlight. No icon and no button reaction: lights on this model have their own battery.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
