Bosch Intuvia: reset the trip distance, ride time and average speed

Bosch Intuvia

One long press of reset on the ride screen clears the trip values. Total distance stays. Ten seconds, no menu needed.

Step by step

  1. Switch the bike on and press i until the ride screen shows TRIP (or any of the trip values: trip time, average speed, max speed).
  2. Press and hold the reset button on the display for about 2 seconds.
  3. All trip values (distance, ride time, average, maximum speed) return to zero at once.
  4. TOTAL (odometer) and RANGE are not affected.
Tip: Reset only while the trip screen is shown; a short press of reset on other screens does nothing, which is why people think it is broken.

Can't find it?

If reset does nothing, you may be in the configuration menu by accident (you pressed i at the same time); press and hold reset for 3 seconds to leave it, then try again on the ride screen. Total distance can never be reset on a Bosch display.

Frequently asked

Can I reset only the average speed?

No. The Intuvia resets all trip values together.

Can I reset the total kilometres?

No, the odometer is non-resettable by design.

Is there an automatic trip reset?

Not on the Intuvia. Kiox and Smart System displays offer an auto reset after a set number of hours.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
