Setting the time on a Bafang DP C18 / DP C07 display

Bafang DP C18 / DP C07 / DP C10 (BBS02, BBSHD, M-series)

The DP C18 has a small clock in the top bar that runs from a capacitor, so it drifts or resets after a long time without power. Set it from Display Setting → Set Clock.

Step by step

  1. Switch the display on, then press and hold + and − together for about 2 seconds until the Setting menu appears (Display Setting / Information / Exit).
  2. Open Display Setting with the power button.
  3. Scroll down to Set Clock (some firmware: 'Clock' or 'Time') and press power.
  4. The hour digits flash. Set them with + and −, then press power to move to the minutes.
  5. Set the minutes with + and − and press power to confirm. The clock is 24-hour only.
  6. Exit the menu twice. The new time appears in the top bar within a second.
Tip: The clock only keeps time for a few days without battery power. If you store the bike with the battery removed over winter, expect to set it again in spring; it is normal, not a fault.

Can't find it?

The DP C10 and some OEM-branded DP C07 units have no clock at all (the top bar shows battery voltage or the ride timer instead). If there is no Set Clock item, your firmware simply does not have one.

Why does my DP C18 clock reset to 00:00?

The display has no battery of its own; a super-capacitor keeps the clock for roughly 3–7 days without the main battery connected. Longer than that and it resets.

Can I switch to a 12-hour clock?

No, the Bafang DP series is 24-hour only.

Does the clock adjust for daylight saving?

No. Set it manually twice a year.
