Pair a Shimano STEPS SC-EM800, SC-EN600 or SC-EN500 with the E-TUBE apps
Bluetooth LE is built into the display. Failures are almost always: Bluetooth off in the menu, a second phone still connected, or a changed passkey.
Step by step
- Stop the bike and switch it on. Press and hold both assist buttons (X and Y) on the SW-EM800 switch at the same time until the settings menu opens. On an SC-EN600 with buttons on the display, hold the display's function button instead.
- Scroll to [Bluetooth LE], set ON and note the display name.
- On the phone open E-TUBE Project (or E-TUBE Ride), tap connect. Never pair from the phone's Bluetooth settings.
- Choose the display, enter the passkey (default 000000).
- Wait for the app to read all units.
- For E-TUBE Ride use the same display and passkey; the app also syncs the clock on connection.
Tip: Android: give the app location permission or it cannot scan. iOS: allow Bluetooth for the app in Settings > Privacy.
Can't find it?
Display not listed: switch the bike off for ten seconds, close the app on all phones, retry. Passkey lost after a second-hand purchase: dealer reset in E-TUBE Project dealer mode.
