How to set the wheel size on Ride1Up displays

Ride1Up displays (Turbo, Roadster, 700 series)

Wheel size is in the advanced (P) settings, often behind a password. Use Ride1Up's per-model value.

Step by step

  1. With the display on and the bike stationary, press and hold '+' and '-' together for about 2 seconds to open the settings menu.
  2. Navigate to the advanced menu: usually 'P' settings, password 1919 or 0512 (enter with '+'/'-' and confirm with power/M).
  3. Find 'Wheel' / P1 and set: 700 Series 27.5; Core-5 27.5; LMT'D 27.5; Turbo 27.5 (Turbo with 2.4-inch tyres: 27.5 still); Roadster v2 700c (set 28); Roadster v3 27.5; Portola 20; Revv 1 20; Prodigy 27.5.
  4. Confirm and exit. Ride against phone GPS and adjust one size if more than 3% off.
  5. Do not touch the magnet count unless you have swapped the motor.
Tip: Keep the per-model value even after a tyre change; a 1 to 2% error is normal.

Can't find it?

If the password is refused, try the other one. If there is no P menu at all, the display is a locked newer version.

Frequently asked

Speed too high after switching to smaller tyres?

Set one size lower.

Does a smaller wheel setting raise top speed?

Yes, illegally. Use the speed-limit setting within the legal class.

Which magnet count?

1 for Ride1Up hub motors; Prodigy (Brose mid-drive) uses its own sensor and has no setting.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
