Update firmware on a Specialized Turbo (TCU, TCD, Mastermind) via Mission Control, the Specialized app or a dealer
TCU and display firmware update over the air from the app. Motor and battery firmware usually also update from the app on Mastermind bikes, but older Brose-motor bikes need the dealer tool for the motor.
Step by step
- Open the Mission Control app (or the Specialized app on 2022+ Mastermind bikes), switch the bike on and connect (see the pairing guide).
- Open bike settings > [Firmware] / [Software update]. The app lists TCU, display, motor and battery with versions.
- Charge above 50 %, keep the phone within a metre and tap update. TCU updates take a few minutes; motor updates 10-20 minutes.
- Switch the bike off and on afterwards; check units, tune settings and System Lock.
- Components marked 'visit dealer' need the diagnostic tool.
Tip: Before updating a 2019-2021 Levo, screenshot your Tune settings; motor updates sometimes reset them.
Can't find it?
Update stuck: keep the app in the foreground, disable battery saver, try another phone. Bike dead after a failed TCU update: power-cycle, reconnect, the app resumes. Otherwise dealer.

No.
The app says up to date but the dealer has newer firmware.
Dealer-tool releases sometimes precede app releases by weeks. Not urgent unless you have a problem.
