Customise ECO, TRAIL and TURBO on a Specialized Turbo with Mission Control or the Specialized app
Every mode has two sliders: Support (how much the motor multiplies your input) and Peak Power (the ceiling). Mastermind bikes add MicroTune, letting you set assist in 10 % steps from the remote.
Step by step
- Open the Mission Control app (or the Specialized app on 2022+ Mastermind bikes), switch the bike on and connect (see the pairing guide).
- Open [Tune] (Mission Control) or [Ride settings] (Specialized app).
- Pick a mode: ECO, TRAIL, TURBO. Drag Support and Peak Power; typical ECO is 30/30, TRAIL 60/60, TURBO 100/100.
- Optional: enable Shuttle mode for a full push at low cadence, or Acceleration response on newer bikes.
- Tap Save; settings write to the motor immediately over Bluetooth.
- Mastermind: on the bike, press and hold the S button to enter MicroTune and step assist in 10 % increments with +/-.
- Smart Control (older bikes): set a ride time or distance and the app manages assist to arrive with a chosen battery level.
Tip: For range, drop Peak Power before Support. Low Support with high Peak Power keeps the punchy feel on climbs while saving battery on the flat.
Can't find it?
Sliders greyed out: the bike is System Locked or the app is not the right one for this generation (Mastermind bikes need the Specialized app for full tuning since 2023).
