Bosch Smart System: enable and use walk assist (LED Remote, Mini Remote, Purion 200)
Walk assist pushes the bike at up to 6 km/h while you walk beside it. Built in; how you arm it depends on the remote. No setup, no dealer.
Step by step
- Switch the bike on and select a mode other than OFF.
- LED Remote / Purion 200 / System Controller with LED Remote: press and hold the − button for about 1 second (on some firmware: press − twice quickly) until the walk-assist indicator appears.
- Mini Remote (Kiox 300/500): press the WALK button on the underside once; 'Walk assist' appears on the display.
- Within a few seconds press and hold + on the same remote. The motor pushes as long as you hold it; release to stop.
- Walk assist ends when you press −, the wheel blocks or speed exceeds 6 km/h.
Tip: A higher mode gives a stronger push; select Turbo before walking a loaded bike up a ramp.
Can't find it?
If nothing happens: mode is OFF, the arming timed out, or the manufacturer disabled walk assist for your market. On some cargo bikes the manufacturer's app has its own walk-assist toggle.

Why does the LED Remote need a long press?
The Smart System arms walk assist with − to avoid accidental activation; then + drives.
Does it work in reverse?
No, forward only.
