Walk assist (6 km/h) on an SW900, EN06, 810LED or KD718

SW900 / EN06 / 810LED / KD718 generic displays

Hold ▼ (−) for about 2 seconds: the bike drives at walking pace while you hold. The 810LED uses hold ▼ too; the KD718 shows a walk icon.

Step by step

  1. Switch on. Hold ▼ for 2 seconds; walk icon or 'P' appears, motor pushes at up to 6 km/h.
  2. Keep ▼ held; release to stop. Brake levers also stop it.
  3. Cruise (SW900 only): P17 = 1 enables throttle cruise after ~8 s steady throttle; P17 = 0 disables.
  4. Lights: hold ▲ for 2 seconds on all four displays.
Tip: On heavy fat bikes walk assist pulls hard; start on flat ground and keep a firm grip.

Can't find it?

No walk: brake icon on (stuck sensor), P10 = 1 on the SW900 (throttle only), or an OEM firmware without walk. Faster than 6 km/h: modified controller.
