Number of assist levels and PAS behaviour on an SW900, EN06 or KD718
P05 on the SW900 picks 0–3, 1–3, 0–5 or 1–5 levels; P11–P13 set pedal-sensor behaviour; P14 the current limit. The EN06 and KD718 have fixed 5 levels.
Step by step
- Switch the display on. Within 10 seconds, press and hold ▲ and ▼ (or + and −) together for about 2 seconds until P01 appears. Most SW900 have no password; if a code is requested, the published defaults are 1919 or 8018.
- Press power to P05: 0 = 0–3, 1 = 1–3, 2 = 0–5, 3 = 1–5.
- P11 (PAS sensitivity 1–24, lower = quicker start, 3–5 typical), P12 (start intensity 0–5), P13 (PAS magnets 5/8/12, count the disc).
- P14 = current limit (A). Lower for a gentler bike or a small battery.
- Power (short press) moves to the next parameter; ▲ / ▼ change the value; hold ▲ and ▼ together to save and exit.
Tip: Set P12 = 1 and P11 = 6 on a 750 W bike ridden by a beginner; it takes the lurch out of level 1.
Can't find it?
P05 shows but does nothing: OEM-locked. EN06: no P05, five levels always.
Frequently asked

No; top level = P14 amps.
Assist starts after a full pedal turn?
P11 too high; set 3.
KD718 levels?

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
