Set km/h or mph for a Shimano STEPS EW-EN100 system in E-TUBE Ride
There is no display, so units are a display-app setting: E-TUBE Ride follows its own settings screen, and the drive unit's stored unit is set in E-TUBE Project.
Step by step
- Open E-TUBE Ride, connect to the EW-EN100.
- Open the app settings (gear icon) and set units to km or miles.
- Also open E-TUBE Project > [Customize] > display settings and set the drive-unit unit to match; this affects ride data exported later.
- Restart E-TUBE Ride and check the speed readout.
Tip: If you later fit a real display (SC-E5003, SC-E6100), it takes the unit stored in the drive unit, so keep both in sync.
Can't find it?
Units keep reverting: your phone's region setting overrides on some app versions. Set the app unit explicitly, not 'automatic'.
Frequently asked
Does the unit change the assist cut-off?
No. The cut-off stays at the legal limit for the bike's region.
Where is the odometer on an EW-EN100 bike?
In E-TUBE Ride under ride data / total distance, read from the drive unit.
Can the dealer set units?
Yes, but you can do this yourself in the apps.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
