Bosch Nyon: change assist modes and customise them (BUI350)

Modes are selected on the control unit; on the Nyon BUI350 (Smart System) you can tune each mode in eBike Flow, on the BUI275 the modes are fixed. Five minutes in the app.

Step by step

  1. Select modes with + / − on the control unit (BUI350: LED Remote or Mini Remote; BUI275: the joystick control unit). Works while riding.
  2. BUI350 customisation: eBike Flow > Settings > your eBike > 'Riding modes'; pick a mode and adjust Support, Max. torque and Dynamics; save. Changes are stored in the drive unit.
  3. The Nyon BUI350 shows the mode name and, on the ride screen, the current motor power.
  4. BUI275: no customisation; the shift recommendation can be toggled under Settings > My eBike.
  5. To restore Bosch defaults on the BUI350, use 'Reset' in the Riding modes screen.
Tip: Tune Tour+ to your commute and leave Turbo stock; Tour+ is where most riders spend their time.

Can't find it?

If 'Riding modes' is missing in eBike Flow, update app and bike firmware; the feature needs 2023 or later Smart System firmware. On a BUI275 eMTB can only be enabled by a dealer in DiagnosticTool on Performance CX motors.

No; Classic Line modes are fixed.

What modes does the BUI350 have?

Depends on drive unit and manufacturer: Eco, Tour, Tour+, eMTB or Sport, Auto, Turbo.

Does a custom mode affect range?

Yes; the Nyon's range estimate adapts as you ride.
