Getting the battery bar right on a King-Meter J-LCD, SW-LCD, K5345 or SW102

King-Meter J-LCD / SW-LCD / K5345 / SW102

King-Meter displays detect 24/36/48 V automatically from the controller on most firmware; where a 'Battery' / 'Voltage' item exists it sets the bar scale, not the motor.

Step by step

  1. Switch on, then press and hold ▲ and ▼ together for about 2 seconds. J-LCD and K5345: the first setting flashes (wheel size or backlight). SW-LCD (small 2-line): hold ▲ and ▼ for 3 seconds. SW102 (tiny 3-button): hold + and − together. Menu order differs by firmware; use the item names.
  2. Look for 'Battery', 'Voltage' or 'BAT' in the basic or Advanced menu. If present, set 36 or 48 (52 on newer firmware).
  3. If absent, the display auto-detects; power it up with the pack fully charged so it picks the right class.
  4. Power (short press) moves to the next item; ▲ / ▼ change the value; hold ▲ and ▼ (or wait 10 seconds) to save and exit.
  5. A full pack should show all bars; recheck after 10 km.
Tip: 52 V pack on a 48 V-scaled display: bars stay full for the first third and then fall fast. Use the voltage readout (cycle with power on the J-LCD) as the truth: 58.8 V full, 44 V near empty.

Can't find it?

Empty bar on a full pack after a display swap: auto-detect picked 24 V from a low standby reading; disconnect, charge fully, reconnect. Bars flicker under load: pack sag.

Frequently asked

Does the setting change power?

No, bar scale only.

Low-voltage cut-off adjustable?

Not on stock King-Meter firmware; the controller and BMS handle it.

SW102 shows voltage?

Yes, as a number in the data cycle.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
