Changing the speed unit on a King-Meter J-LCD, SW-LCD, K5345 or SW102
The unit is one of the three basic settings (wheel size, unit, backlight) on every King-Meter display. Two presses.
Step by step
- Switch on, then press and hold ▲ and ▼ together for about 2 seconds. J-LCD and K5345: the first setting flashes (wheel size or backlight). SW-LCD (small 2-line): hold ▲ and ▼ for 3 seconds. SW102 (tiny 3-button): hold + and − together. Menu order differs by firmware; use the item names.
- Step with power until 'km/h' or 'MPH' flashes (J-LCD shows 'Unit', SW102 shows 'UNIT').
- Change with ▲ / ▼.
- Power (short press) moves to the next item; ▲ / ▼ change the value; hold ▲ and ▼ (or wait 10 seconds) to save and exit.
- Check the riding screen label.
Tip: The SW102 shows the unit in a sub-menu called 'Display'; it is the second item. The SW-LCD flashes 'KM' or 'MI' next to the distance.
Can't find it?
Settings will not open: hold both buttons within 10 seconds of power-on, and on the J-LCD make sure the bike is stationary (speed 0). Item locked: a start-up password is on; enter it first.
