Passwords on a King-Meter J-LCD, SW-LCD, K5345 or SW102
Two kinds: an owner-set 4-digit start-up code (in the basic settings on many models) and a fixed Advanced-menu code. The published Advanced defaults are 1919 and 0512; some brands use 8018.
Step by step
- Switch on, then press and hold ▲ and ▼ together for about 2 seconds. J-LCD and K5345: the first setting flashes (wheel size or backlight). SW-LCD (small 2-line): hold ▲ and ▼ for 3 seconds. SW102 (tiny 3-button): hold + and − together. Menu order differs by firmware; use the item names.
- Start-up code: step to 'Password' / 'PSW', set it to on, enter four digits with ▲ / ▼ and power. Repeat to confirm. The display now asks for it at every power-on.
- Remove: same item, set off, enter the current code.
- Advanced code: from the basic settings hold ▲ and ▼ again; when the code prompt appears enter 1919, then 0512, then 8018 if refused.
- Power (short press) moves to the next item; ▲ / ▼ change the value; hold ▲ and ▼ (or wait 10 seconds) to save and exit.
Tip: These codes are published in the manufacturer manuals and on every dealer forum; they are not secrets, but the settings behind them can make the bike illegal or damage the drive, so change one thing at a time and note the old value. Forgot the start-up code: no handlebar reset; the display is replaced or a dealer with the King-Meter tool clears it.
Can't find it?
Second-hand display asks for a code: try 0000, 1234, 1919, 0512. All refused: OEM code; the brand's support can tell you.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
