How to use walk assist on a Mahle X20 (and why the X35 has none)
The X20 has walk assist via the iWoc (or Pulsar / app); the original X35 does not.
Step by step
- X20: with the bike on, press the iWoc twice quickly then hold; the LED turns blue and the motor pushes at about 6 km/h.
- Release to stop. Brake levers are not connected on most Mahle bikes, so keep the button as the only control.
- Pulsar Two: hold the '-' button for 2 seconds.
- App: on the bike screen tap 'Walk' and hold the on-screen button.
- X35: no walk assist on any firmware.
Tip: Walk assist on a light X20 road bike is more than enough; on a heavy trekking bike it struggles on steep ramps.
Can't find it?
If the LED does not go blue, update firmware; walk assist arrived in the X20 firmware of 2023.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
