Fazua Ride 50 / 60 assist cut-off and why you cannot change it in the app
Fazua drives are set at the factory or by the dealer to 25 km/h (EU), 20 mph (US class 1) or 28 mph (US class 3). The rider app has no speed setting.
Step by step
- Check the current setting: Fazua app > bike > 'About' shows region / max assist speed.
- Confirm on a ride: the motor decouples smoothly at the limit; the bike freewheels without drag above it.
- A change (e.g. importing a US bike to the EU) is done by a Fazua dealer with the service tool and is only possible within what the bike's type approval allows.
- Do not fit a 'tuning' dongle: the Ride 60 firmware detects implausible speed data and logs it, and the drive's decoupling above the limit means dongles do not work as on other systems anyway.
Tip: Fazua's charm is that the motor fully disengages above the limit, so riding faster than 25 km/h costs nothing beyond your own legs.

There is no speed entry in the rider app on any version.
Frequently asked
Can my dealer set 32 km/h in the EU?
No; the EU pedelec limit is 25 km/h. Anything more needs type approval, plates and insurance.
Why does my Ride 60 cut out at 24 km/h?
Tolerance plus tyre size; a dealer can correct the wheel circumference in the service tool.
Is a class-3 Ride 60 available?
Yes, for the US market, set by the bike manufacturer.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
