What kind of brand is Carqon?

NetherlandsCargo

Carqon is a cargo bicycle brand from the Netherlands. It is named among the portfolio brands on Accell Group's own website, alongside Haibike, Winora, Ghost, Batavus, Koga, Lapierre, Raleigh, Sparta and Babboe. Accell Group describes itself as the European market leader in e-bikes. In April 2026 Accell stated it would present a sharpened portfolio focused on Raleigh, Lapierre, Haibike, Batavus and Winora, and on 5 August 2026 suspension of payments (surseance van betaling) was granted to its Dutch entities. Owners with warranty questions should ask their own dealer, because the dealer network handles warranty in practice. No claim is made here about the future direction of the Carqon brand itself.

How to check on your own bike

  1. Look at what is cast or printed on the motor housing near the bottom bracket; the manufacturer name and often a model number are moulded into the case.
  2. Read the brand and model name shown on the display unit mounted on the handlebar or stem.
  3. Check whether the system pairs with a smartphone app, and note the app name, as this usually matches the drive manufacturer.
  4. Find the type plate or sticker on the frame (often near the head tube or bottom bracket) and record the model code and any approval marks.
  5. Cross-check the same details against the original invoice or the specification sheet from the dealer.

Frequently asked

What kind of brand is Carqon?

Carqon is a cargo bicycle brand listed in the Netherlands by Accell Group on its own corporate site as part of its portfolio.

Who owns Carqon?

Carqon is part of Accell Group's portfolio. On 5 August 2026 suspension of payments (surseance van betaling) was granted to Accell's Dutch entities, and in April 2026 Accell said it would present a sharpened portfolio around Raleigh, Lapierre, Haibike, Batavus and Winora.

Which motor is in a Carqon e-bike?

That depends on the model and year, so check the marking cast or printed on the motor near the bottom bracket, the name on the display, the app it pairs with, and the type plate or invoice. Your dealer can confirm from the frame or original paperwork.

Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
